Job Summary

The selected Student Assistant will provide administrative support to the Director of the Tshwane School for Business and Society. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth and efficient daily operation of the Director’s office.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage the Director’s schedule, appointments, and meetings.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
  • Act as a communication link between the Director, staff, students, and stakeholders.
  • Assist with the preparation of reports, presentations, and documents.
  • Organize travel, events, and other logistical tasks.
  • Manage office filing, correspondence, and systems.
  • Ensure prompt and professional responses to queries and emails.

Minimum Requirements

  • Educational Qualification: Postgraduate Diploma in Administrative Information Management OR Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration.

Required Experience:

  • Previous experience as a Student Assistant or Administrative Assistant.
  • Good understanding of office management systems and procedures.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong multitasking and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters discreetly.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Team player with the ability to work independently when needed.
