Educational Requirements
To be considered for this position, applicants must have the following minimum educational qualifications:
- National Senior Certificate (Matric)
- Trade Test (Caucasian, Afro, or Barber) – As the facilitator will be teaching hairdressing, a trade test related to the field will be an important qualification to ensure proficiency in the subject matter.
Minimum Requirements
In addition to the educational qualifications, applicants must meet the following minimum experience and skills requirements:
- Experience: A minimum of zero to one (0-1) year of facilitator experience.
- Certifications (optional but advantageous):
- Moderator and Assessor Certificate – While not mandatory, having this certificate will be an added advantage.
- Driver’s Licence – Having a driver’s license will be considered an advantage, though it is not a requirement.
Job Responsibilities and Duties
As a facilitator at Ekurhuleni West TVET College, you will have several key responsibilities that are crucial to the development and success of the students. The core duties of the role include:
1. Learning/Facilitation
- Engage in the facilitation of learning according to the allocated workload.
- Conduct practical and theoretical lessons to enhance the students’ knowledge and skills in hairdressing.

- Maintain accurate records of students’ progress and achievements throughout the course.
3. Program Management
