The Department of Community Safety and Transport Management in South Africa is offering a Traffic Officer Learnership Programme for 2025/2026. This three-year program is designed for unemployed youth aged 18 to 35 residing in South Africa Participants will receive a monthly stipend of R3,000 throughout the duration of the learnership.

Eligibility Criteria:
  • Age: Between 18 and 35 years.
  • Education: Grade 12 Certificate or Vocational National Certificate Level 4.
  • Driver’s License: Valid Code 8, 10, or 14 (learner’s licenses are not accepted).
  • Residency: Proof of residence from a Municipality or Traditional Council.
  • Criminal Record: A recent Police Criminal Clearance Report (issued within the last three weeks).
  • Medical Fitness: A medical report confirming fitness for strenuous physical exercise, issued by a registered health professional.
  • Appearance: No visible tattoos.

Additional Requirements:

  • Applicants must not have participated in a previous Public Service Learnership Programme.
  • Applicants must not be 36 years of age or older at the time of enrollment.

  1. Application Form: Complete the improved Z83 form, ensuring all sections are fully filled, signed, and dated. Incomplete or incorrect forms will lead to disqualification.
