Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s Degree (NQF 7) in Journalism, Media Studies, Communication, Public Relations, Political Science, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years’ middle or senior management experience.
- Extensive experience in stakeholder engagement and project management within a communication or public relations context.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Required competencies: Strategic thinking, project and people management, financial oversight, change and risk management, client service orientation, and knowledge management.
- Familiarity with the Medium-Term Development Plan and a deep understanding of the communications landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a Stakeholder Engagement Strategy.
- Maintain and update a stakeholder database and ensure timely and strategic communication.
- Draft and review MoUs with partners where relevant.
- Identify and mitigate risks in stakeholder relations, including reputational and conflict of interest risks.
- Facilitate stakeholder participation in communication programmes and manage collaborative projects.
- Manage the directorate’s human and financial resources, ensuring timely reporting and compliance.
- Regularly compile stakeholder reports and strategic updates.

Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7) in Social Sciences, Economics, Development Planning, or Communication. A postgraduate qualification will be an advantage.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience at senior or middle management level, with expertise in government strategic planning.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate departmental strategies, plans, and reporting frameworks.
- Excellent communication, planning, and analytical skills.
- Valid driver’s license and strong computer literacy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the development and review of the Five-Year Strategic Plan and Annual Performance Plans.
- Lead planning workshops, develop operational plans, and align departmental strategies with national priorities.
- Conduct situational analyses, monitor implementation progress, and recommend strategic adjustments.
- Oversee service delivery models, develop service standards, and update operational processes and SOPs.
- Manage the directorate’s budget, performance reporting, compliance, and operational risk.
- Promote institutional learning and innovation in planning methodologies.
