POST: Personnel Practitioner (Warrant Officer)
LOCATION: Quality of Work Life: HIV&AIDS, STIs and TB (HAST) Management –
Provincial Head Office (Zwelitsha), Eastern Cape
LEVEL OF REMUNERATION: (Band B1) R351 570 per annum

Generic Requirements:
- The applicant must demonstrate competency in the specific functions of the post.
- Possess a Senior Certificate (Grade 12).
- Proficiency in at least two official languages, with one being English.
- Must be a South African citizen.
- Must have no criminal record or pending criminal/department cases.
- Computer literacy is required.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Possess analytical, self-management, and problem-solving skills.
- Report writing, presentation, and development skills are essential.
- A valid light driver’s license is required.
- Applicants will undergo a vetting process, including security screening and fingerprint verification.
- Applicants must be willing to travel extensively.
- Relevant courses related to the post will be considered an advantage.
- Must not have visible tattoos while in SAPS uniform.
- The successful candidate must be willing to travel and attend courses as required.
Additional Requirements:
- Applicants must hold a degree in Social Work, Psychology, Nursing Science, or a related qualification (accredited by SAQA at NQF Level 7 or higher).
- A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the field of the post will be advantageous.
- Must be registered with the relevant professional regulatory/legislative body and submit proof of registration for the 2024/2025 financial year.
- A project management certificate will be an advantage.
- Must have the ability to work with diverse groups.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation/group facilitation, problem-solving, and administrative skills are required.
- Must be knowledgeable about the latest National Strategic Plan (NSP) for HIV & AIDS, STIs, and TB.
- Must be familiar with the DPSA Strategic Framework for Employee Health and Wellness (EHW) and other relevant legislation.
Core Functions:
- Implement the HIV & AIDS, STIs, TB (HAST), and Covid-19 workplace programs within Head Office Divisions, in line with relevant HAST legislation.
- Provide input on strategic and policy-related matters to ensure the effective implementation of the HAST program.
- Facilitate and implement wellness-related interventions.
- Develop wellness support groups and Peer Education Programs.
- Ensure accessibility and availability of wellness screening/testing services.
- Assist in developing and managing HAST business and operational plans for Head Office Divisions.
- Coordinate physical, human, and financial resources allocated to the post environment.
- Implement research, monitoring, and evaluation processes in the post environment.
General Information:

- Applicants appointed under the Police Service Act will undergo training at a SAPS Academy and must qualify as competent and maintain competency throughout their service.
