Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 Certificate
- 3–5 years of relevant HR experience
- Solid knowledge of:
- Conditions of service
- Appointments, terminations, leave, IODs, and salary adjustments
- PERSAL system
- Understanding of HR regulations in education and the public sector
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Access, Outlook)
- Valid South African driver’s license
Key Duties
- Manage all PERSAL personnel transactions (appointments, terminations, leave, etc.)
- Facilitate allowances, pension benefits, medical aid, and other employee services
- Maintain and update HR records and databases
- Approve or disapprove HR transactions on PERSAL
- Provide advisory support to district HR staff
- Train employees on HR policies, particularly around terminations
- Compile and submit monthly HR reports
- Supervise and manage junior HR staff
