Take the lead in driving sustainable urban development and infrastructure investment in Gauteng.
The Gauteng Partnership Fund (GPF) is recruiting a visionary, strategic leader for the role of Chief Investment and Development Officer. As part of the executive team, you will spearhead capital mobilisation, project structuring, and implementation of inclusive urban development initiatives across the province.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead investment structuring and capital mobilisation via blended finance, SPVs, and partnerships.
- Oversee project development from feasibility to handover.
- Drive capital raising through roadshows and investor engagement.
- Manage urban regeneration projects, leases, and asset portfolios.
- Ensure compliance with PFMA and financial protocols.
- Lead a high-performing team with a focus on transformation and skills development.
- Mitigate risks and foster stakeholder collaboration across sectors.
Minimum Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s in Finance, Engineering, Built Environment, or Project Management.
- Professional registration with a recognised body (e.g., ECSA, SACPCMP).
- FAIS RE1 certification (preferred).
- Master’s or MBA (advantageous).
Experience:
- 10–15 years in investment/development, with at least 7–8 years at executive level.
- Background in PPP, large-scale infrastructure, and ESG-aligned finance.
Technical Competence:
- Knowledge of PFMA, capital markets, ESG, feasibility modelling.
- Strong leadership, risk management, and financial structuring skills.

Preference will be given to:
- Candidates with FAIS RE1 and valid professional registration.
- Previously disadvantaged individuals, in line with GPF’s equity targets.
